melody & nhan were wed last year. to celebrate their 1st anniversary, we photographed their aftershoot, for a more relaxed and scenic photo session. after having had their engagement session and wedding day photographed by us, they are definitely the expert models now!!!
sometimes to get something really different, one needs to go that extra mile just to get there. melody and nhan are troopers to rock climb a mountain right next to a cliff and pounding waves just to get some shots.

i spent a lovely sunday afternoon with the awesome angie & roy at the presidio for a great engagement session. i first met this adorable couple at marion & scott's wedding last fall where roy was cuttin' up the dance floor with his slick moves. he definitely stole the show! and this time, he let his beautiful bride-to-be become the focal attention during the photo session. =)
angie was such a trooper and kindly did what i asked without a complaint, as she is still recovering for a recent surgery. i really commend you, angie! woot woot!!! throughout the session roy himself was the helpful and supportive partner. what more could you ask for?

jasmin & vince are such an awesome couple. very eclectic to say the least, in terms of their location choices... LOVED IT!!!
i always love photographing somewhere new. this beautiful couple found a great mural at the alemany farmer's market, which we took full advantage of to show more of the urban side of love. next was yerba buena gardens with its stunning architecture and surrounding cityscape. we found a spot that i haven't really taken full advantage of until now. we got some killer photos!!!

i have the best job in the world! as much as i love photography, what i love even more are our clients. =) marion contacted us to photograph marion's family and reflect the recent changes in their family. this session included the new addition of scott, marion's husband, as they're recent newlyweds whose gorgeous wedding we photographed last october. and with the youngest daughter graduating from middle school, the family wanted to be able to capture morgan before she begins high school life this fall.
congrats on your upcoming promotion, morgan! looking forward to chronicling more of the upcoming events in your lives, marion & scott, and the entire gutierrez fam!
what a jam-packed and eventful day quyen & steve enjoyed for their wedding day! if wedding planning and a busy work schedule wouldn't keep anyone busy enough, the lovely twosome also just purchased a new home together. =) the wedding celebration commenced with a traditional chinese tea ceremony to honor steve's chinese background at their brand spankin' new pad before heading to santa maria parish in orinda. their beautiful ceremony included many tender and emotional moments.
just before their reception, we took advantage of the sunny skies and made a stop at the bollinger canyon waterfall for photos with their bridal party. we had some time just before their cocktail hour to photograph the couple and their entourage at the reception at bridges golf club before they were swept away to their receiving line to take same-day printed photo favors with each guest, which is a tradition of quyen's vietnamese heritage.
everyone enjoyed a fabulous party at their reception, which included heartfelt speeches from each of their attendants and of their fathers. this entire day was captured so beautifully by their awesome videographers, the famous canadian-based cinematographers of stillmotion. you can even catch their surprise same-day edited video debuted at the reception at the end of this entry. (try to find the ed pingol photography team in a couple of the clips! )

jean & rich are such an adorable and fun-loving couple. i knew immediately once i met them that they would be a blast to work with and each time i have, it's definitely been one fantastic time. after celebrating their wedding this past september, they returned back to the country that rich calls home: panama.
for their aftershoot, we traveled to some awesome sites towards the keys near andandor to get the panama city backdrop. but what got me realy excited was the viejo ruins located in the old panama. talk about a goldmine for photos. i really loved it there until some really heavy storm clouds came in with loud thunder. well, let me take that back... i like the storm clouds, minus the storm. =)
thanks so much for showing me such a wonderful time in panama, jean & rich! may you both enjoy plenty of more happy occasions in this beautiful country. =)
