marjorie & eric's wedding - marriott hotel - san ramon, california

commentator: ed

marjorie & eric had a gorgeous day for a wedding! with such inclement weather expected in april, they were blessed with perfect weather on their special day. we spent most of the day's events at the marriott, where the lovely bride prepared, which was also the ceremony site and the reception venue. (i love same-site weddings!) before the ceremony, the beautiful couple met for their first glance meeting and photos with their bridal party at the bollinger canyon waterfall in san ramon.

it was such pleasure to see familiar faces of their entourage and guests, who are uc davis graduates whom i've known since the days i spent on the campus and also from weddings of eric's fellow alumni. their outside ceremony was a memorable and heartfelt union followed by a delightful and lively reception!

congratulations on your wedding, marj & eric. we hope you both enjoyed plenty of r&r on your honeymoon. =)

jeannette & johnny's engagement session - treasure island - SOMA - san francisco, california

commentator: ed

i met jeannette & johnny at her sister's wedding which we photographed last fall. she was a glowing expectant mother at the time and her little boy was the ringbearer. now with their littlest one here, jeannette & johnny are such loving proud parents that they had to be sure to include the two in at least a few of their engagement photos. i noticed that when we started shooting, the love that they have for one another became clearly apparent. then when the little ones joined us for photos, i also noticed how patient and kind jeannette was and how johnny was patient and tender. that is exactly how i would like to be when monica and i start our own family.

i was excited to shoot at treasure island, since it has such sweeping views of sf and in my opinion, the best cityscape view of this favored town. it's also because this is where i grew up as a military brat. =) we also had the chance to spend some time in the often-ignored (and wrongfully so since it's such a gem!) SOMA area in san francisco, specifically in the SF State college satalite sector.

congratulations on your engagement, jeannette & johnny! so excited to see you wed later this year. =)

special thanks to brian gross for helping the pingol clan. you are the man!!! =)

marissa and erwin's wedding - city hall - shanghai 1930 - san fancisco, california

commentator: ed

the san francisco city hall is a venue that is near and dear to my heart since this is the place monica and i were wed. marissa & erwin shared their vows on a beautiful friday morning in an intimate ceremony, witnessed by their parents. the wedding turned out to be SO meaningful because they took out the bells and whistles to really concentrate on what a wedding means to them. it was simply a happy celebration of their love for one another, the joining of both families and afterwards, partying with friends. which, when you boil everything down... it's exactly what a wedding is supposed to be!

this lovely couple was still able to include an entourage of bridesmaids and groomsmen, those who they hold near and dear to their heart. we took photos just outside the civic center, which its gorgeous architecture. their reception included a beautiful luncheon at shangai 1930 in san francisco with the rest of their family and friends. it was a blast!

congratulations, marissa & erwin! i'm so honored to have captured your big day!

indira and robert's engagement session - the embarcadero - san francisco, california

commentator: ed

after having to postpone our photo session with indira and robert a couple of times due to weather, we finally found a nice and sunny day to shoot and what a day it was! san francisco is where this lovely couple calls home so they selected a location in the heart of the city. we hung at the embarcadero and the surrounding vicinity for the entire shoot, which allowed us to capture some great sf images.

congratulations on your engagement, indira & robert! can't wait for the big day this july!

commentator: ed

jackie and norlan have been madly in love with each other for over 2 years now and decided to have an engagement style photoshoot with us. when i first met them, i could truly feel the love they have for one another. during the shot, it became really easy to shoot the two because they naturally just know how to show their affection for each other making my job REALLY easy. =)

thanks so much for spending the afternoon with us, jackie & norlan!

andrya, mike, & jaden's family photo session - waimea falls park - haleiwa , hawaii

commentator: ed its such a blessing to be able to chronicle the journey of a couple's life stages through photographs. from their engagement session to their beautiful wedding on oahu and now to their family photo session including their newborn, jaden. what a ride!!! jaden was born in march at an astounding 12 lbs. and 3 oz. seriously, this is one big boy and andrya & mike are such glowing and proud parents of their lil' one. since they now live in hawaii, it was such a great opportunity for me to take their first family photos during my trip out to paradise.

congratulations on the birth of your first child, andrya & mike! can't wait to capture more moments in your lives. =)
