jennifer and brant's wedding - conservatory of flowers - san francisco, california

commentator: monica

jennifer & brant celebrated their nuptials at the conservatory of flowers, with an intimate ceremony of a dozen or so close family and friends. with so many of their guests coming from all ends of the country, the beautiful bride and groom wanted to be sure that their dinner at the fairmont would begin immediately after their ceremony, which is why they opted to take photographs prior to their ceremony at the japanese tea garden. 'twas a glorious, gorgeous afternoon that thursday!

their ceremony was such a heart-felt occasion, which included their first very first dance as a married couple. seems like there wasn't a dry eye amongst their guests. =) jennifer and brant were able to reserve the entire conservatory for their special event, leaving time for their guests to enjoy all the exhibits. their friends and family had a blast in the butterfly area!

congratulations, jennifer & brant! we're so grateful to have been able to record your very special day!

susan and derron's wedding - cathedral of the blessed sacrament , lionsgate hotel; sacramento

commentator: monica

after an incredibly hot weekend, susan & derron were very fortunate to have such mild weather on their wedding day in sacramento the following week. we met up with susan and her bridesmaids at her parents' home in elk grove. being the only girl of four kids and the first to be married made this day such a special one for the entire family.

their catholic ceremony was held at the cathedral of the blessed sacrament, which is such a breathtaking church and oh-so-close to the capitol building. after taking photos with the entire bridal party in the surrounding downtown area, we headed to their reception at the lionsgate hotel, where we took more photos of the beautiful newlyweds. their reception was full of plenty of laughter and joy, as the entire party enjoyed plenty of entertainment, including a lu'au style show and a lovely, memorable surprise number by the bride, for her groom.

congratulations, susan & derron! we hope you had an awesome time in italy!!!

jean and rich's engagement session - japanese tea garden, de young museum, children's playground; san francisco

commentator: monica

jean and rich are such a lovely, fun-loving couple. for their engagement session, we decided to start at the japanese tea garden, where the park is in full bloom. we love j.t.g., not only because it's such a beautiful location but also because just outside the entrance are various sites to take photos at, which is what we decided to do with our happy couple. the de young museum has this awesome copper wall, which was a great complement to jean's deep red dress and rich's navy shirt.

afterwards, we headed to the other side of the park at koret children's quarters, also known as children's playground. jean & rich consider themselves to be big kids at heart so this was a great location for them to show off their youthful personalities on a carousel ride. rich is such a hard-working guy and depended on by his employees that he's often on his phone, which is a point of contention for the two. we decided to play off on this and show how much this drives jean up the wall. =)

congratulations on your engagement, jean & rich! thanks for the most delectable brunch at brenda's. it was worth the wait!

randy's portfolio portrait session - paa auction winner! - children's playground, san francisco

commentator: monica

as a proud bruin alumna and former pilipino transfer student partnership (ptsp) member, it was our pleasure to donate a one-hour photo session to the ucla pilipino alumni association (paa) scholarship endowment. the winner of the silent auction was randy, who although currently resides in lovely la-la land, was in town for a relative's graduation, and was able to meet up with us to redeem his winnings. randy is an actor and wanted to update his portfolio with new headshots. in order to "customize" the portraits for various roles, he included 3 different looks: youth, military, and professional. for this, he requested a location which included a playground structure and sand. we'd heard about the awesome children's playground in golden gate park and decided to meet up there. koret children's quarter, which is the official name, did not disappoint!

thanks so much for your donation to the scholarship fund, randy!

jackie and woody's wedding - saint lukes, elkhorn country club, stockton, ca

commentator: monica

it had been over a year since we photographed jackie & woody's engagement session, which included a few photos with their adorable son, quinton. it was so great to see how much he's grown and how vocal he is now! we met up with both the gals and guys at the holiday inn, as they got ready for the day's festivities. this beautiful couple decided to meet for a private "first glance" meeting outside of st. luke's before their ceremony, which was a great idea, as it calmed the nervous jitters our blushing bride had before walking down the aisle. =)

after the ceremony, we headed to university of the pacific for some photos of the newlyweds and their bridal party. although it was graduation weekend, we were able to find a great spot outside of morris chapel. the reception was held just a few minutes away at the elkhorn country club, which was a fusion of jackie's filipino heritage and woody's cambodian heritage. mid-way through their reception, they changed into stunning traditional cambodian formal attire.

congratulations on your marriage, jackie & woody! hope you both got a chance to save those "face fans!" =)
