seriously... we ate hawaii. these photos aren't complete either. there was a lot more consumption that happened. i guess i was too busy eating rather than taking pictures. for those who are following us on twitter, you might have gotten twits about eating here and eating there... well, below are what was experienced. please don't look at these photos with an empty stomach because you might get the urge to bite or lick your monitor. it doesn't work like that people. =)

"maritess and the super friends" - a girlfriends group photo session - independence high school - san jose, california

the title of this post is a play off an old-joke-turned-faux-comic series by one of my fave comedians, rex navarette. though it is true that these ladies who have been friends for years are all "superwomen," especially maritess who organized the photo shoot. maritess is the queen of diy and an awesome graphic designer. you may remember her as we were fortunate to photograph her & edwin's wedding last year.

the ladies and their families opted for independence high school, their alma mater. this definitely brought back memories from their old school days.

melissa & jeff's engagement session - yerba buena gardens - san francisco, california

melissa & jeff are not the same melissa & jeff that we photographed last year. =) this is a brand new couple whose wedding we'll be photographing later this year, who just happen to have the same first names. this lovely couple met in college as students at uc davis. beginning out as good friends, it was years later that they realized they were meant for each other.

just outside the metreon, we held their engagement session. yerba buena gardens is such a great place to spend an afternoon. it's stunning waterfall, the mlk jr. memorial, is such a great spot for photos.

congratulations on your engagement, melissa & jeff! so excited your big day this year!

our friend, patty lee, of 8events event & floral design is hosting a boutique bridal showcase, bella intima, on saturday, april 18th from 1- 5 p.m. in menlo park. this is a charity event with proceeds being donated to the lucile packard children's hospital at stanford. come one, come all!!!

kristine & bobbie's wedding - saint catherine of siena - vallejo | rancho solano - fairfield, california

the morning of kristine & bobbie's wedding, we spent that time with the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids getting ready at her parents' house. it's always fun to peruse the home that the bride grew up in and see all the photos depicting her childhood years. the house was bustling with the excitement of the day though kristine was cool as a cucumber throughout the morning.

afterwards, we headed to saint catherine of siena where we met up with the gentlemen and the groom. the first time i met bobbie, his hair was free-flowin' but for this occasion (and for his e-session) he had cleaned up so well. he and his groomsmen are such a great group of guys and so easy to work with.

the wedding was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, followed by a joyous, fun-filled reception at the clubhouse at rancho solano golf course. kristine and bobbie threw a great party for their guests and definitely personalized their reception to reflect their love for rock music and their fave colors purple and orange.

congratulations on your marriage, kristine & bobbie! hope you had an awesome time in new york for your honeymoon. =)
